Which iPhone Models Come in Purple?

As it turns out, you’ll be able to get your hands on either an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Mini in this lovely light purple.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 12 Pro line isn’t available in purple. The Pro models arrived in different colors from the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini when they first launched in 2020. Thus, it’s not too much of a surprise that Apple kept the new color exclusively for the more colorful models.

It also makes sense that the new color is only an option for the lower-priced models, because they’ve generally been selling better. While the iPhone 12 Mini hasn’t done well so far, the iPhone 12 has been a strong-selling device for Apple. Adding the new visual option for your best-selling device is good business, of course.

The Purple iPhone 12’s Price

You definitely don’t want to have to pay more money to get an iPhone in the color that you want. After all, it’s exactly the same device aside from the looks.

Thankfully, this isn’t a worry. It’s the exact same price to buy an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Mini in the new purple color as it is to buy either device in any other color.

As of this writing, the price sits firmly, starting at for $699 for the iPhone 12 Mini, and $799 for the larger iPhone 12.

Availability and Release of the Purple iPhone 12

As is the usual case with events and launches, the new color devices aren’t available for order right away.

If you’re looking to get your hands on one of the new purple iPhone 12 models, pre-ordering for these devices starts on Friday, April 23. If you’re impatient, you’ll be saddened to know that April 30 is the official launch date.
