Windows 10 Bug Bash

Do you fancy yourself a dab hand at finding bugs within Windows 10? If you do, it’s time to put your skills to the test, as Microsoft has opened the floodgates to a brand new Bug Bash on its Insider build.

What Is the Microsoft Windows 10 Insider Bug Bash?

Microsoft opened the gates on its official Windows Insider Twitter page. Until May 17, 2021, you can find and report as many bugs as you can and earn achievements along the way.

If you’re on the Insider build, you can join in the fun by clicking the link in the tweet above or visiting aka.ms/FHQuests.

When you click the link, your browser should suddenly ask to open something called “Feedback Hub.” Don’t worry; this program is part of Windows 10 itself, and doesn’t require any additional installs or sign-ups. If you click to open Feedback Hub, Windows 10 will show you the dedicated area for bug reporting.

If you’re on the Insider build for Windows 10, you’ll see a whole host of achievements you can earn while looking for bugs.

However, that’s not all. Microsoft also says that new quests will be released daily, so be sure to check back every so often to see how else you can help improve Windows 10.

If you’re not part of the Insider build, you can still open up the Feedback Hub and use it to report any bugs you may find. You won’t be taking part in the Bug Bash, but every bug report is still valuable to Microsoft as they improve Windows 10.

Once the bug bash ends, you can still satisfy your need to find bugs in other ways. For instance, Microsoft often hosts bug bounties where you can earn yourself a tidy sum of money for finding a critical security flaw in its products.

Hit a Bug, Win a Prize

If you love finding and reporting bugs, be sure to hop on the latest Windows Insider Bug Bash and complete your quests to earn some fun rewards. Even if you’re not part of the Insider build, you can still use the hub to report bugs, or even do some bug bounty hunting instead.

Microsoft has really taken a shining to bug bounties in recent years. Back in January 2020, the software giant opened the doors to allow Xbox gamers to earn some serious cash when they found a critical bug.
